The Anointed Pace Sisters Dedicate Song to Ahmaud Arbery’s Mother, Wanda Cooper Jones, Hosts Mother’s Day Tribute on Facebook Live at 3 p.m.

Hello World,

On this Mother’s Day, I am thinking of Wanda Cooper Jones as this will be her first Mother’s Day without her son Ahmaud Arbery, who was gunned down while he jogged in the middle of a Brunswick, Georgia neighborhood street in February. It must be even more painful for her to wake up today as his 26th birthday was Friday. I honestly have no words for yet another senseless assault on the seemingly tenuous humanity of a black man. If you can look at that video and see anything other than a murder in full-on daylight, I question your humanity…

And since my words are limited, I’m so glad that The Anointed Pace Sisters are able to capture in song the anguish she must feel even as the Father is adulated. They sing “In The Hands of God.”

Also, The Anointed Pace Sisters will also host a Mother’s Day Tribute TODAY on FB Live at 3 p.m.

Kierra Sheard of ‘The Clark Sisters’ Movie Celebrates No. 1 Billboard Album as She Mourns Grandmother’s Death Due to COVID-19

Hello World,

On the heels of the major success of the recent Lifetime TV original movie The Clark Sisters: First Ladies of Gospel, Kierra Sheard is celebrating yet another impressive accolade:Ā  Her self-titled album KIERRA (Karew Entertainment / RCA Inspiration) isĀ  #1 on Billboardā€™s Top Gospel Albumā€™s chart, #1 on Billboardā€™s Top Christian/Gospel albums chart, and #2 on Billboardā€™s Top 200 Christian & Gospel Consumption chart! Released on April 17th,Ā KIERRAĀ has knocked the longstanding #1Ā Jesus Is KingĀ out of the top position, and has garnered more than 3 million streams in its first week.

The album includes 15-tracks with sounds ranging from Pop, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Gospel, and features some live recorded songs whichĀ KierraĀ performed before a sold out crowd in her hometown of Detroit, MI. Demonstrating her lyricism,Ā KierraĀ either wrote or co-wrote all of the tracks on the album including the beautiful balladĀ ā€œGrateful,ā€Ā the authentic and rawĀ ā€œHuman,ā€Ā andĀ ā€œBetter.ā€Ā Assisted by a dynamic team,Ā KIERRA features production from her frequent collaborators, Harmony ā€œH-Moneyā€ Samuels and her brother J. Drew Sheard, as well as songwriters Mia Fieldes, Varren Wade, Edgar ā€œJVā€ Etienne, Justin Brooks and rising Chicago artist Sir the Baptist. In addition to Missy Elliott and Tasha Cobbs Leonard, the album features vocals from other star Gospel Artists Todd Dulaney,Ā  Leā€™Andria Johnson and Kierraā€™s nephewĀ Jacob Sheard.

See Kierra’s jubilant Instagram post below:

However, as you can see, Kierra mentioned that she wishes she could tell her happy news to her Nanna. Her grandmother on her father’s side, Willie Mae Sheard, 84, passed away on April 19 due to COVID-19 complications. (Read an excellent article about her grandmother HERE.) Kierra had revealed on Good Morning America that both of her grandparents were sick with COVID-19 at the beginning of this month. See her touching post about her grandmother below.

Whoa. This hurts. Either Iā€™m crying or Iā€™m sleep (unless Iā€™m around loved ones) hoping Iā€™d see you there. Writing about you, and watching videos of you, has helped me. At first I didnā€™t understand. However, I begin to walk through the days of when Iā€™d come and see you. Iā€™d always ask, ā€œhow do you feel?ā€ Because only a few days out of more, youā€™d say, ā€œI donā€™t feel good.ā€ Iā€™d often try and blame it on malpractice. I asked a natural medicine doctor to come and see about you. I tried to find a solution. I find you, in me because you always wanted to have an answer for people you loved. However, I didnā€™t like how much youā€™d say ā€œI donā€™t feel good.ā€ Iā€™ve asked God, ā€œwhy now?ā€. But these things have been my answer. You were tired of not feeling well and I was tired of not having an answer to help you. It broke me apart seeing you in such pain. I also remember seeing your adoration for the Lord. I didnā€™t see you do anything contrary to Godā€™s way of life. Youā€™d put on and be strong for us during family dinners and church events, but I could tell, you didnā€™t feel good. You were so strong. You often saying, ā€œyou can have this/that when Iā€™m gone…ā€ bothered us so much; but you always had a peace when insinuating that thereā€™s another place of interest. As believers, to be absent from the body and present with the Lord is the ultimate goal. This heaven bound understanding walks us through something so painful with such peace. We prayed and prayed and asked God to heal you, but Iā€™m led to believe that you were ready to tap out of this earthen life. Iā€™ve been challenged to not be selfish but to be selfless and accept God allowing your promised rest. So, Iā€™m still trusting God and seeing that He gave you the years promised (Psalm 90:10) and 14 more years of life with us. But if I reflect on the good things, you lived a good life. What makes it hard, is having to grasp the fact that I wonā€™t see you anymore; until we meet again. Iā€™m even more determined to live like Christ so that I can talk to you again. I love you. I find that I act just like you and Iā€™ll forever remember your lessons. Rest well Nanna. No more days of not feeling good. Iā€™ll miss you.

See what Kierra’s mother Karen Clark Sheard, who Kierra portrayed in the movie, posted about her mother-in-law below.

As Kierra said, she is experiencing a bittersweet moment in life…Congratulations to her and her family on her success, and I pray that her and her family will be comforted as they grieve the loss of their precious matriarch.

Gabrielle Union Once Advised Christian Couple Steph & Ayesha Curry to Break Up & Have Sex With Other People!

Hello World,

According to the Jasmine Brand, Gabrielle Union, who is married to retired basketball player Dwyane Wade, once advised Christian couple Steph Curry of the Golden State WarriorsĀ  & his wife Ayesha to break up and have sex with other people! Gabrielle revealed she gave this explosive and frankly bad advice during the funny Instagram conversation she and Dwyane recently had with the Currys, who have been married since they were in their early 20s.

See the snippet of the convo below:

But Gabrielle also complimented the Currys on their faith. See the statement below:

ā€œLiterally, there are very few people I have met who have been consistent. I mean, sh*t, Iā€™ve known you guys for well over a decade. And thereā€™s a lot of people who talk about faith, and thereā€™s a lot of people who talk about moving the culture forward but something isnā€™t real somewhere, right? When people are like, ā€˜Are they real?ā€™ And Iā€™m like, ā€˜Yes. Theyā€™re some of the only people Iā€™ve met who have been consistent from the first time I saw them to every time I speak to you guysā€¦me and Ayesha just text each other [with] encouragement randomly. Like, ā€˜Girl, keep your head up. You got this.ā€™ Andā€¦I wish people understood that it is possible to be people of faithā€¦ā€

Kudos to the Currys for sticking together AND being an example of faith within the basketball community and the world!
