He is Risen!!! Hallelujah!!!

Normally, I would write a longer Easter post fitting of the occasion because Easter is literally the crux of our faith, but having two infants to feed every three hours is still messing with my time management skills. As a result, here is my short Easter post for today. After you have celebrated Easter in the house of God preferably with your church family, know that the celebration doesn’t have to be over!!!

VERZUZ is blessing us with an epic battle between, not one, but two, dynamic gospel duos that is sure to awaken the Holy Ghost in all of us. Singing songs of praise, heavy-hitters, Mary Mary, the gospel-soul twosome (Remember that time I interviewed Tina Campbell? If not, click Mitchell Solarek is NOT Tina Campbell’s Manager & More: My Interview With Mary Mary’s Tina Campbell), will face off in a glorious battle against brother and sister Gospel titans BeBe and CeCe Winans. And, Heaven help us, we are here for it!

Charity Greenleaf aka Deborah Joy Winans & Husband Terrence Williams Officially Become Parents to Baby Boy!

Back in August, I told y’all that Deborah Joy Winans was pregnant, but since then, I hadn’t come across any updates…and so I wondered if something had gone wrong…But praise be to God, Deborah Joy Winans and her husband Terrence William did become parents to Terrence David Williams back in October although she only officially announced it via People magazine this month (a wonderful time for a birth announcement no less)! As she told ESSENCE back in August, it was difficult pregnancy due to fibroids unfortunately. Please read an excerpt of the People magazine article by Georgia Slater below…

Deborah Joy Winans is feeling grateful for her baby boy after a difficult pregnancy journey. The Greenleaf actress, 38, welcomed her first child, son Terrence David Williams, with husband Terrence Williams in October, and tells PEOPLE that she’s “on the mend” following a painful pregnancy involving fibroids, noncancerous tumors that grow in the uterus.  Winans, who stars in OWN’s new holiday film A Sisterly Christmas, gave birth to her son via an emergency cesarean section three weeks before her due date. Baby Terrence weighed 8 lbs, 2 oz. at birth. Read the rest HERE.

Author Tiffany L. Warren to Release ‘A Favorite Son Christmas,’ Sequel to ‘The Favorite Son,’ Now a BET+ Original Movie…

Earlier this year, I interviewed author Tiffany L. Warren, about her how her faith-based novel ‘The Favorite Son” was made into a BET+ movie that premiered in May of this year!

Well, now she is set to release a sequel, a novel entitled “A Favorite Son Christmas” any day now. That’s all I know as of today so be on the lookout on your favorite online book retailers for the release!
